| | Description | Join the Makerspace staff every Wednesday during Fall quarter from 3 - 4pm in SNO 170 where we will learn how to use the sewing machine to make a number of projects. Class size is limited to 5 students due to equipment and room size restrictions. Registration on dubnet is REQUIRED. Class Schedule: - Week 1, October 9th: Introduction to machine sewing, safety, ironing, and cutting.
- Week 2, October 16th: Your first project, a pillowcase. Bring your own material or use ours (selection is very limited).
- Week 3, October 23rd: Finishing the pillowcase.
- Week 4, October 30th: Burlap grocery tote bag. recycled burlap will be provided.
- Week 5, November 6th: Finishing the burlap tote.
- Week 6, November 13th: Suggested project - bucket hat! From this date until the end of the quarter will be free sewing. You can work on your own projects, or you can join me in making a bucket hat. You will need to buy your own supplies from this point on.
- Week 7, 8, 9: Free sewing
