UW Tacoma students join Husky Huskies from Seattle and Bothell to lobby lawmakers in Olympia during the legislative session, which is when their voices matter most. In addition to providing you with insider experience and insights into the democratic process, the Annual Huskies on the Hill Lobby Day raises awareness in Olympia about higher education issues like financial aid funding, student healthcare, and other issues by connecting students with state legislators. Legislators want to hear student voices, so make sure yours is heard! No prior experience is needed to participate in Huskies on the Hill. Information and training sessions on how to be effective in meetings with legislators are provided in advance.
