Royalty Research Fund
WhenThursday, Jan. 30, 2020, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Please join us to learn about an excellent opportunity to support your research through the Royalty Research Fund (RRF). The RRF is open to tenure-track/tenured faculty across the UW system and provides one-year awards of up to $40,000 that are intended to generate preliminary findings, seed scholarly and creative activities, and increase faculty’s competitiveness for future external funding. RRF award rates are relatively high, with UW Tacoma faculty having seen much success in recent years.

At this workshop being held in advance of the RRF’s upcoming March 2nd deadline, participants will gain insight into how to maximize the success of your RRF submission (or resubmission)

Dr. Kara Luckey, Proposal Development Consultant, will first cover the basics of the RRF, including eligibility, budget allowances, review process and criteria, preparing and submitting the proposal, and tips based on recent successful proposals from UW Tacoma faculty.

Dr. Robin Evans-Agnew, RRF Committee Member & Associate Professor of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership will also join to provide valuable perspective and advice for preparing successful RRF proposals based on his experience serving on the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences RRF committee.

Kara is also able to provide proposal writing and editing support to faculty preparing RRF proposals. Please contact Kara at if you would like to schedule a one-on-one consultation on Thursday, January 30th and/or if you are interested in engaging her editing support leading up to the RRF deadline.
