Math (Enthusiast) Series: Counting Spanning Trees with Algebra
Math (Enthusiast) Series: Counting Spanning Trees with Algebra
WhenThursday, Apr. 18, 2019, 3:50 – 4:50 p.m.
Description

Familiar notions from linear algebra, such as
determinants, matrix inverses, and
eigenvalues/eigenvectors can be used to
count combinatorial objects. In this talk, Dr. Steve Klee
will give a few perspectives on how using
these and other linear algebraic tools can be
used to count spanning trees in graphs.
