Description

Join us for this experiential training grounded in anti-bias principles to support a stronger and inclusive UW Tacoma campus community.

Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Answer the question - what does equity look like?
• Explore how does power and privilege play out?
• What are cultural norms that support an inclusive community?
• Gain an understanding of personal bias and blind spots
• Identify a clear link between valuing equity and connecting with each other
• Name why equity and inclusion are important in building a strong and safe campus community

This training is intended to challenge us to examine our beliefs, attitudes, and practices about the people with whom we are in community with.
It will be a safe place to stop, reflect, connect and collaborate to create the inclusive community that is wanted and needed.

Student leaders, Faculty and Staff are encouraged to attend this event together.
