From Sterile Space to Home Base: Discussing how to create a
classroom where students want to be

in partnership with the Divisions of Social, Behavioral, and Human Sciences (SBHS) and Sciences and Mathematics (SAM) in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.

Join Dr. Rachel Tennial, Assistant Professor of Psychology, University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This event will be held on Friday, February 16th from 2:30PM-3:30 PM in TLB 307 B

Presenting emerging research on the topic of classroom climate, this research utilizes the concept of Levity to explore the complexities of the classroom, and factors that impact students' perception of their instructor and their potential performance in a given course.

This talk will be preceded by a talk and discussion, “From Mammies to Jezebels: An Exploration of Black Identity, Colorism and Media Representation," sponsored by the Office of Equity and Inclusion and SBHS and SAM (SIAS) from 12:30-2:30 PM in TLB307b. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to join us for part or all.
