Constructing Dignity: Human Rights as a Praxis of Egalitarian Freedom, a Conversation with Michael Goodhart*

Michael Goodhart is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Global Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the author of Democracy as Human Rights  (Routledge, 2005),  Injustice: Political Theory for the Real World (Oxford University Press, forthcoming), and many articles on human rights, democratic theory, and global governance. He has edited several scholarly collections including Human Rights: Politics and Practice (2nd Ed., Oxford University Press, 2013).
