A Stranger Comes to Class: Teaching Digital Narratives
WhenTuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Rather than traditional writing assignments, instructors in a variety of disciplines are now asking students to develop Digital Stories, PhotoVoice projects, and other digital narratives. Drawing upon easily-accessible technology (such as smartphones) and free software, these courses prompt students to generate work that critically engages in discourses and audiences beyond the traditional confines of classroom. This panel discussion will include instructors who have assigned students to create digital narratives and share best practices for those interested in incorporating these strategies.
