Cultures and Arts across American Borders

Description

Please join us for a discussion of the ways that people are addressing current social issues and struggles through culture, art and commentary. Three guest speakers will visit the campus to share perspectives on the challenges and borders that exist in our communities and beyond. Through discussing art and culture, the speakers will offer perspectives about how we can respond creatively to pressing social issues such as local experiences of inequality and various borders that separate people across the Americas.

The visiting speakers include Cathy Nguyen, Maru Mora-Villalpando and Santa Barraza. This event is the first of several happening this year.

This event is FREE & open to the UW Tacoma community.
