State Legislature Internship Info Session
WhenWednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Interested in interning at the state Capitol? Attend an info session during the lunch hour on Wed, Oct 4th.

The Washington State Legislative Intern Program offers a terrific opportunity for undergraduate juniors and seniors from all majors to learn the legislative process while gaining professional work experience. Interns are placed in the office of a state senator or state representative with similar interests. A few interns work for the Republican and Democrat caucus communication departments to assist in writing floor speeches, op-ed pieces, talking points, and newsletters. This is a paid internship, and you’ll receive 15 academic credits. If your major is PPE or Law and Policy, you’ll earn your capstone requirement while interning

More information on the program can be found on the program’s web page. Priority application deadline is October 10, 2017, and the final deadline is October 18, 2017. Information on the application process is available on the program website.…
