Swipe Right For Success
WhenWednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Description

The Student Engagement and First Gen Fellows request your presence at our event “Swipe Right for Success”. This event offers  a time outside of the classroom or office setting where students, and especially first generation students, will be able to ask their professors questions about their academic and professional careers. It will take place in the format of speed-dating  where students will be paired with a faculty member and given “ice breaker” questions such as: “Where did you go to school?”, “What was your major?”, or “Where did you work/intern before working at UWT?”. You are not limited to only these questions.  It is also an opportunity for Faculty to learn more about our students.  It would also help students to let them know things that you wish you would have known when you were working on your undergraduate degree.

Each “Interview” will last a few minutes and then partners will switch. For the students to each have a faculty speed-dating partner we will need a substantial amount of help from our faculty at University of Washington Tacoma. Please let us know by responding to this email if you would be willing to offer your experience and expertise on October 4th, 2017 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. We would love to have you!
