Reducing Maternal and Perinatal mortality in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Abel NTAMBUE MUKENGESHAYI, PhD, is Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, University of Lubumbashi, and Coordinator of the Research Unit on Epidemiology and Maternal, Newborn and Child Health. From 2004-2012, he was coordinator of the PMTCT Program in Lubumbashi. His main research interests are in issues related to measuring health, equity, and implementation and evaluation of maternal, newborn and child health interventions and strategies. He has authored several articles in, and served as reviewer for, international journals. Member of l’Association des Epidémiologistes des Langues Françaises (ADELF).
