Combining Research & Teaching to Assess Learning, Improve Teaching, and Produce Scholarship
WhenTuesday, Apr. 11, 2017, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Bringing a research perspective to our teaching helps us understand student learning, improve our own practices in the classroom, and contribute to a rich tradition of scholarship across a variety of fields. In this informal roundtable discussion, we’ll tell stories of projects we are working on to share strategies and tactics to bring a scholarly perspective to your teaching practice, including topics such as research design, data collection, and other resources on campus for engaging in scholarship and teaching.  Presented by:  Emily-Cilli Turner, Lecturer, Science & Math; LeAnne Laux-Bachand,  Lecturer, Writing Studies;
Emma J. Rose, Assistant Professor, Writing Studies
