Let's Talk Teaching! To Click or not to Click? Using Clickers in Class
WhenTuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Description

Classroom response systems can encourage active learning and student engagement, and give voice to students who might otherwise not feel comfortable participating in verbal question and answer sessions. We will demonstrate four classroom response systems (Turning Point Clickers, Poll Everywhere, Plickers, and Learning Catalytics Software) and provide a comparison of the cost, resources and main features of each system, as well as a discussion of the benefits of and barriers to using each in the classroom. Haley Skipper, Stephen Norman, Jenny Quinn, Jack Vincent, and Maureen Kennedy, Jeremy Davis.
