While in the Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician Dean found that yoga was a tool that helped to reduce stress, maintain strength and decrease recovery time after strenuous work. As a project manager at an R&D company Dean gained understanding of leadership in the diverse civilian workplace and the various rigors of the tech world. Now as a motorcyclist, mechanic and part-time builder, he finds that yoga is the antidote to daily aches and pains. Dean’s approach to yoga integrates his many years of military experience and a desire for a balanced approach to physical and mental fitness. After discovering yoga in 2004 the obvious benefits inspired a life changing dedication to the practice of mindful breathing and movement. Dean engages his students through alignment based yoga to help each student build strength and increase flexibility. He strives to engage students through a challenging yet rewarding practice.
