Description	Join us for a screening of Shun Nakagawa's 2017 short film 'Karankoe no Hana'. On a summer school day the school nurse enters an English class to make a brief remark that LGBT (Q+) persons are real and it is normal. Students begin to wonder if there is a gay person in their classroom and why the 'announcement'. Reactions, conversations, and accusations spread. Nakagawa allows every action and reaction to linger and be carefully examined and questioned. Screening followed by discussion moderated by Prof. Davinder Bhowmik, UW Asian Languages and Literature.
