Description

Professor Rick Lorenz will be speaking on the legality of the use of Nuclear Weapons with respect to the 1949 Geneva Convention. The Law of Armed Conflict makes it illegal under international law/treaty to disproportionately kill civilians in an offensive military strike.  Due to the inherent nondiscriminatory nature of nuclear weapons, there's question as to the international legal implications of potential use. Discussion and Q&A session to follow.
