Graduate students are invited to join us for lunch and conversation with Dr. Jean Beaman about her scholarly work. Her research is ethnographic in nature and focuses on race/ethnicity, racism, international migration, and state-sponsored violence in both France and the United States. This event is in conjunction with the public lecture "Citizen Outsider: Race and Racism in France and Beyond" that Jean Beaman will give on October 31st at 3:30 in HUB334 as part of the Transcultural Approaches to Europe colloquium series.
