Description

The first in the quarterly Anthropocene Film Salon series, Chasing Ice follows James Balog and his team on the Extreme Ice Survey as they assemble a multiyear chronicle of the planet's rapidly melting glaciers. The series is designed to catalyze transdisciplinary conversations about our current social-ecological moment. By hosting a provocative film followed by a discussion and social gathering, we aim to connect people from the humanities, arts, and the physical and social sciences who would not otherwise meet, foster mutual learning, and catalyze new, cross-cutting collaborations addressing the unique social-ecological challenges of the Anthropocene.
