This panel will explore the challenges faced by immigrants living and working in the Seattle-Tacoma region. In particular, the panel explores the ongoing human rights violations at the Northwest Detention Center, a private immigrant detention center located in Tacoma. Speakers include La Rond Baker (former ACLU Staff Attorney), Maru Mora (Latino Advocacy), and Megan Ybarra (Associate Professor of UW Geography).
