Winter 2017 Film Series:
Woman with a Movie Camera: German Films by Female Directors
(Nicolette Krebitz, 2016)
1 hour, 37 min
Confrontational modern fairy tale that centers on a young urban woman drawn to nature in an extremely visceral way. Locking eyes with a wandering wolf in her neighborhood park, the woman lures the beast to her apartment. The film frames their ambiguous relationship in a manner as tender as it is transgressive.
Coffee and discussion will follow each screening. Open to UW students, faculty, and staff. Series curated by Jasmin Krakenberg (firstname.lastname@example.org).
