Join the annual human rights day celebration!

6:00 - 6:45 PM: Pre-Program and reception with human rights poster presentation by UW undergraduate. POSTER SESSION CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER. APOLOGIES. Main program and reception will proceed as planned.

7:00 PM: Program with Human Rights Awards presented by the Seattle Human Rights Commission and keynote address with Jose Antonio Vargas. Vargas is a journalist, filmmaker, and immigrants' rights activist. An undocumented immigrant himself, Vargas, who also founded the Define American organization, has worked to elevate the conversastion around immigration and citizenship in America.
