Sherry Turkle is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science & Technology in the Program in Science, Technology & Society at MIT, and the founder (2001) and Director of the MIT Initiative on Technology & Self. Her books include Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other and The Second Self: Computers and the Human Spirit.
