For this meeting, professor Kathleen Woodward (English and Director of the Simpson Center) will speak to the Reading and Affect  Graduate Student Interest Group (GIG) about her interest and work on affect, particularly her book, Statistical Panic: The Cultural Politics and Poetics of Emotion (2009). For this meeting, GIG members should read at least the introduction to Statistical Panic, which is available digitally through the UW Library website.
