Speaker: Didier Alia, Research Assistant Professor at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance The winter 2025 series focuses on global nutrition, addressing some of the major challenges in global public health nutrition. Invited speakers represent international agencies (World Health Organization), non governmental organizations (Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition), foundations (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), the food industry (Nestlé Research Center), and academia. The challenges and opportunities in implementing nutrition programs will be discussed in the context of lower income countries in Africa and in South and South East Asia. The topics will range from agricultural practices to product fortification and public health policy. The series is open to all UW students, faculty, and staff. |
