WhenMonday, July 15, 2019, 1 – 4 p.m.
Description

Facilitator: Fleur Larsen

Training in implicit bias has grown exponentially in the last couple of years, but there is still an imminent need. Through a combination of activities and group discussions, we will explore some harmful side effects of individuals’ bias, and talk about some strategies to try to increase self-awareness.
The main objectives of this workshop include:
• Learn best practices and resources for addressing implicit bias
• Identify how unconscious bias may affect working and learning environments
• Explore strategies that can be used to minimize the impact of implicit bias
