In recent years, a considerable amount of research on microaggressions has demonstrated its prevalence and harmful effects on students. However, how each individual responds to microaggressions can have an effect on the learning and social environment of a classroom or working space.
This workshop will help:
• Introduce the concept of microaggressions and its negative effects
• Facilitate the recognition of microaggressions
• Provide some strategies to explore scenarios and potential ways to respond
