Description

Learn the do's and don'ts of indoor plants. Instructor Tassy de Give, author of Rooted in Design, will discuss how to choose the right plant for your indoor environment and troubleshoot potential plant problems. Whether you are a first time plant owner, or are looking to expand your knowledge of your existing collection, Houseplants 101 will give you the know-how and guidance for improving the life of your plants. Environmental factors, plant identification, and general care techniques will be discussed. The lecture will also include an in-depth Q&A section so be sure to bring any plant questions as well as photos you want identified.

Cost: Free, with a suggested $5 donation at the door.

Tassy de Give is a plant enthusiast and instructor who has worked in the horticulture field for the past 15 years. In 2007 she co-founded Sprout Home, a home and garden shop and design studio in Brooklyn, NY. She co-authored her first book in 2015 entitled Rooted in Design. Tassy has been a featured guest/writer for ABC's The Chew, Martha Stewart Living Radio Show, and Elle Magazine. She is currently the Plant Director for Glasswing in Seattle, WA.
