Is it time to discuss racism in an intelligent way?

Scholar Claud Anderson had an apocalyptic warning for African Americans in 1995. Either act quickly or face irreversible financial and social decline. Did that window of opportunity close? Without collective action by African Americans on their own behalf, did we become a permanent underclass in American society after the recent Affirmative Action Supreme Court ruling?
