Engineering students are welcome to join the UW-Tohoku University Academic Open Space symposium.

Materials and systems for the next generation airplanes (to be developed in 2035-2040 by Boeing and Airbus is the focus in the afternoon of April 12 (Wednesday) and morning of April 13 (Thursday).

Also join us on Wednesday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. for a short symposium on selected several strategic directions for development (such as next generation airplane materials and structures, energy science for transportation systems, natural hazard (earthquake and Tsunami) and disaster engineering.

If you are interested in these future areas of the engineering,  please stop by and join the symposium.
