Description | Are you an ME undergraduate graduating this year and searching for a capstone design project to fulfill your degree requirements? Come preview the capstone design projects available this year. Featuring projects from - local industry sponsors, such as Boeing, PACCAR, and others,
- local community organizations,
- ME faculty sponsors, and
- registered student organizations.
Sponsors and mentors will be available to describe their projects and answer questions. There will be no formal presentations - join for whatever times you are available. Industry-sponsored projects are a unique opportunity to work with professional engineers from industry on a relevant engineering challenge the company is facing. Projects would run over winter and spring quarters, allowing for opportunities to get into prototyping and testing. The project client representatives attending do not have input on which specific individuals are placed on the project, only the specific skills mix the team should have. You do NOT need to bring your resume or other items, but please wear business casual attire. We do recommend reviewing the list of projects beforehand and noting which you’d like to learn more about, as you probably won’t have enough time to visit every project. If you cannot attend the preview fair, you CAN still apply to these projects. For more information about the preview fair, the available projects, how to apply for capstone projects, and capstones in general, visit the ME Undergraduate Advising Capstone canvas site. All ME students doing their capstone this year are strongly recommended to attend, unless they are completing the mechatronics degree option, only interested in EIH projects, or already have a capstone project formally arranged. These projects are the only other way to complete the capstone requirements this academic school year. |
