Students may feel overwhelmed by the perceived intelligence of their peers, while faculty members might wrestle with feelings of “impostorism” amidst the pressure to maintain expertise in rapidly evolving fields. Imposter syndrome can hinder academic and professional growth, leading to heightened stress, decreased confidence, and diminished performance.
