As the end of the school year approaches it’s the perfect time for celebration and appreciation, which will also lay the foundation for resilience for the days ahead. There are many benefits to expressing appreciation and gratitude including strengthening social connections and increasing self-confidence. A practice of gratitude shifts our attention from the negative to the positive. The ability to make this shift is a useful skill to have in your back pocket throughout the school day and beyond! Come learn how to create a practice of gratitude and appreciation for yourself and others, how to receive and “take in” appreciation and learn a bit about what the research has to say about the benefits of a practice of gratitude and appreciation for both self and your school community.
