Art History graduate student Emma McIntosh is presenting during this session. Her paper's title is "Worried Notes and Troubled Light: Music and Hegel in Mondrian's Aesthetic Philosophy," and it discusses her research on Mondrian, his collection of 78rpm records, and his musical influences. McIntosh has an essay on the topic in volume 3 of Monday, the journal of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery.
