Stephanie E. Hanes is a figurative sculptor whose personal work deals with feminist theory in relation to visual culture and questioning ideas of embodiment, subjectivity, and identity. She is teaching as a full-time Lecturer during the 2018–2019 academic year.

Hanes received an MFA in ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2017 and received the prestigious Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship — for displaying exceptional promise as a grad student. At California State University Long Beach, Hanes was an invited artist from 2017-2018, where she was also a lecturer in ceramics. She has completed residencies throughout North America and Europe with solo and group shows at C.R.E.T.A Rome Gallery in Italy and an upcoming solo exhibition with Lefebvre et Fils Gallery in Paris, France. Her ceramic sculptures have been exhibited in New York City; Los Angeles; Providence, Rhode Island; and throughout Canada as well as publicly collected by Red Deer College in Alberta, Canada.
