Program Goal & Objectives
The UWB SRCP Seed Grant Program (funding available annually through FY26) is intended to competitively support UWB faculty and librarians in all disciplines who are starting new projects or relaunching current projects in new directions that have the potential for internal UW and/or external funding. We hope to continue building scholarship and research capacity and extramural support across campus. Among proposals of comparable merit, preference is given to junior faculty. Proposals from senior faculty are funded only when they support a genuinely new direction in the applicant’s research and/or career development, provide a unique opportunity to compete for subsequent one-time (or infrequently offered) funding, or originate in a discipline for which external funding opportunities are minimal. Only proposals that are pursuing projects focused on advancing knowledge will be funded.
