The discussion of race generally, and in particular, research, is clouded with uncertainty and a lack of clarity of its use and purpose. Edwin will discuss the nuances of race and explore how we currently use race in medical research and how we can identify ways to use it better. With a strong framework of understanding race, Edwin believes we will be better equipped wrestle with the concept of race in our data and our scholarship.

You are invited to this UW Department of Family Medicine's monthly Research Seminar Series.  We welcome all learners, faculty, and staff.  Feel free to bring your lunch.  Light snacks will be provided.
