Get in the Game with UW Football Block Party
WhenWednesday, May 8, 2019, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
WhereRed Square

What if we told you that on Wednesday, May 8, you could head to Red Square and register to be a cure to someone’s cancer or blood disease?

Not only that, but:

  • Score a free t-shirt
  • Get a photo with Dubs
  • Meet UW football players and former NFL player
  • Listen to the Husky band perform
  • Grab a KIND bar and some Hubert’s Lemonade
Would you come?

On Wednesday, May 8, the Whole U is taking over Red Square from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in partnership with Be the Match and UW Athletics. We’re hosting a Block Party to get students and the UW community registered on the largest bone marrow registry list in the country.

Join us to potentially make a difference in someone’s life. Joining the registry is a small step that makes a major impact: saving the life of a stranger. And it takes 10 minutes of your time.

All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend. Please register here to help us anticipate numbers and share across your networks!

Every day, countless people with rare blood cancers face uncertainty and certain death due to their inability to find the near-enough marrow donor match that would cure them of their cancer. The good news is that saving their lives is simple: the more people who register to be possible marrow donor matches, the more matches are found, and the more lives are saved.

The key to a strong match: young blood! With over 45,000 students enrolled at the University of Washington Seattle campus, we have the potential to save thousands of lives.

Every new donor on the registry have the potential to make a life saving difference.
