You need to attend both parts, on January 30 and February 6.

Even those of us who aren't technically project managers actually manage a variety of one-time and recurring projects from start to finish, such as coordinating a conference, overseeing a process improvement effort, or producing an annual report. This workshop focuses on the organization, communication, and delegation skills that are integral to the successful completion of any project while covering the basics of project management: defining the project, identifying who is involved and how, making a timeline, dealing with risk and uncertainty, and tracking progress to completion. Course content steps away from the jargon and charts of project management and gives participants concepts and tools they can use in their next project. Participants are encouraged to bring a project they are currently working on or an idea for a project they would like to work on in order to explore project management through practical exercises based on their needs and interests.

NOTE: This workshop is designed for UW staff who are new to or unfamiliar with the concepts of project management.
