10-11am   My Research Portal  (Aron Knapp, UW Office of Research Information Systems (ORIS))  Learn how to track your research life at a glance with a new virtual portal designed to save you time by organizing your active research proposals and budgets while prompting you to connect to resources designed to aid you in your research pursuits.  Bring your computer!

11-11:30am  Outside Work for Compensation/Form 1460  (Melissa Petersen, Ass't Vice Provost)  UW faculty (and staff - although that is another process) have valuable expertise that is in high demand.  Learn how to protect yourself by reporting outside work for compensation activities using Form 1460. 

11:30am-12:30pm  Financial compliance  (Andra Sawyer and/or Matt Gardner, UW Research Compliance and Operations)  Spending your grant money is not always as easy as it might seem.  Since orange is NOT the new black, attend this session to learn how to grease the skids to get your work done and stay compliant.

12:30-1:30pm  Export control (Mark Stomski, Ass't Vice Provost) LUNCH PROVIDED Take care when you share! In this increasingly complex research environment with collaborators from across the globe and constantly changing federal regulations, rely on the UW's Assistant Vice Provost, Export Control Mark Stomski to steer you clear. 

1:30-2pm  General Q&A with all panelists

In fiscal year 2017 the UW Bothell campus had over $8.5 million in research expenditures.  These  sessions have been developed to provide our faculty and staff with the research administration resources they need to be successful.
