Graduate education in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences (IAS), University of Washington Bothell, links theory and practice with the goal of developing creative and critical thinkers and doers. We offer flexible programs of study that are responsive to the research interests, artistic ambitions, and professional aspirations of our students.

All IAS master’s programs are cohort-based, featuring small evening classes for working professionals.

The Master of Arts in Cultural Studies offers an integrative and transformative approach to the study of culture, as a field of inquiry and a means of engagement.

The Master of Arts in Policy Studies prepares students to become agents of change, through an interdisciplinary approach to the study of contemporary policy.

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing & Poetics is dedicated to helping students develop their creative work through a course of study that encourages exploration and discovery.
