Description | Scaling mHealth Strategies for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kenya Presenters: Dr. Yanfang Su & Eliudad Akama How do you select and prioritize mHealth strategies for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Kenya? This presentation will discuss plans for leveraging Kingdon’s Multiple Streams Framework (KMSF) to identify problems that mHealth strategies at scale can effectively address to achieve UHC, as well as introduce and employ the World Health Organization’s mHealth Assessment and Planning for Scale (MAPS) Toolkit to assess the feasibility of scaling mHealth solutions for UHC. This research seeks to advance understanding of how mHealth can contribute to achieving UHC at scale, while simultaneously examining the practical challenges and opportunities associated with mHealth scale. To achieve these objectives, the presenters propose to conduct a country case study that encompasses desk reviews and in-depth interviews in Kenya. By exploring the mechanisms behind mHealth at scale, this project strives to provide valuable insights into optimizing the impact of mobile health technologies on global health initiatives.
