Instructor Tassy de Give, author of Rooted in Design, will discuss how to choose the right plant for your indoor environment and troubleshoot potential plant problems. Whether you are a first-time plant owner or are looking to expand your knowledge of your existing collection, Houseplants 101 will give you the know-how and guidance for improving the life of your plants. Environmental factors, plant identification, and general care techniques will be discussed. The virtual lecture will also include an in-depth Q&A section so be sure to bring any plant questions as well as plants you want identified.

Tassy de Give is a plant enthusiast and instructor who has worked in the horticulture field for the past 15 years. In 2007 she co-founded Sprout Home, a home and garden shop and design studio in Brooklyn, NY. She co-authored her first book in 2015 entitled Rooted in Design. Tassy has been a featured guest/writer for ABC's The Chew, Martha Stewart Living Radio Show, and Elle Magazine. She is currently the Plant Director for Glasswing Greenhouse in Seattle, WA.
