Title: An Application of Kingdon's Three Stream Framework and the mHealth Assessment and Planning for Scale (MAPS) Toolkit to Examine Scale and Sustainment Cases of mHealth in LMICs. Bio: Eliud Akama is pursuing the Doctor of Global Health leadership and practice (DrGH) program at the University of Washington (UW) to bridge the gap between research, implementation, and public health practice. For the past 14 years, he has led large teams in the design, integration, implementation, and evaluation of strategies for health systems strengthening in Kenya. In particular, he has focused on translating research findings into public health practice using implementation science approaches. Prior to joining the DrGH program, he worked with the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in Kenya as a technical adviser for HIV prevention and maternal child health and a study manager for multiple research projects. Eliud is currently exploring the intersection of policy and implementation science while examining scale and sustainment cases for digital health in low- and middle-income countries. He is seeking expertise in policy entrepreneurship while leveraging his public health experience. Eliud also holds a Master in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Washington. |
