Laureen Nussbaum (Professor Emerita, World Languages and Literatures, Portland State University)

Please join us for a presentation by Dr. Nussbaum based on her book, Shedding Our Stars: The Story of Hans Calmeyer and How He Saved Thousands of Families Like Mine. Dr. Nussbaum will discuss the survival of her family in the occupied Netherlands (in contrast to the experiences of Anne Frank's family).

Laureen Nussbaum is Professor Emerita at Portland State University, a German-born American scholar and writer, Holocaust survivor, and a scholar and childhood friend of the famed memoirist Anne Frank.
