In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Jennifer Thomson will give a talk about the history of environmental activism in the U.S.

Jennifer Thomson is an assistant professor of history at Bucknell University. Her book, The Wild and the Toxic: Health and American Environmental Politics, was just published in May 2019. Professor Thomson specializes in the post-1945 history of the United States, with particular concentrations in leftist politics, health and the environment, and structural inequality. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2013.
