This event is for University of Washington students (undergrad and grad) who have an idea and want to explore how to turn it into a reality!

Facilitators:

Dan Sedlacek - Uphill Designs

UW alum Dan Sedlacek spent the summer of 2013 walking from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail. Using a pack he had sewn himself, he was named ‘Uphill’ for his love of steep climbs and breathtaking views. Uphill Designs grew out of this experience.
Dan and his partner Mallory design and craft your go-to, everyday, special occasion, choose above all else, (inanimate) love of your life products - primarily out of full grain cowhide leather & waxed cotton canvas.

Mentors + Speakers:

About our Vendors:
Honest Biscuits was started by Art Stone, who has bounced around between the law, art and food throughout his career. He first made biscuits with his grandmother in rural North Carolina when he was about four years old. After he "helped" her make the biscuits for dinner, she would give him dough to make into biscuity animals. For years, Stone, has tried different recipes and techniques to try to match his grandmother’s biscuit-making skills. After six months of perfecting his own recipe, he believes he may be finally catching up to her. He is trying to respect his grandmother’s legacy while injecting his own life experience, traveling and living in different places, to take biscuits to the next level.
