Description

Ray Larson, Curator of Living Collections, will take us on a virtual journey through one of the most interesting plant collections in the UW Botanic Gardens. Learn about rare and unusual plants, collections based on genetics and eco-geographic habitats, and the unusual ways how these plants have made their way to us. The Arboretum has a large collection of mature Stewartia trees, dating back to the 1940s. Stewartia are wonderful small trees with four seasons of interest, and feature some of the most attractive bark to be found anywhere. Get to know the plants in our collection through pictures, stories and history, and learn about how you might use some of these plants in your own landscape.

Cost: $15
