Looking for a fun way to end your week? Join the SER Native Plant Nursery for our weekly work parties on Fridays 11 am - 2 pm. You'll get to see nursery management in practice and the behind-the-scenes to growing plants! Come learn about native plant propagation and production at our student-run nursery.

Every Friday from 11am-2pm we will be hosting a work party where you can participate in a variety of nursery tasks including sowing seeds, up-potting plants, working on outdoor restoration projects, and more! Please meet at the Douglas Research Conservatory (DRC) at the Center for Urban Horticulture.

Everyone is welcome and no experience is needed. Gloves, tools, and snacks are provided for all volunteers. Dress to get dirty, and don’t forget your water bottle!

If you are volunteering to earn course credit, please be reminded that only those who have preregistered 24 hours prior to the event will be able to participate and receive credit. Thank you. Please note there you will see a confirmation note in the browser after you have registered and you will NOT receive an additional email.

Each quarter, many students enjoy participating in work parties for the nursery, where they learn about horticulture practices and the value of native plants in urban and wild landscapes.…
