Description

Fairytales and the Five Year Plan presented by UW MLIS candidate Kirsten Painter (PhD, Columbia University, Slavic languages and literatures) is an overview of illustrated Russian books from both the pre-revolutionary and Soviet periods, as represented in the Pamela K. Harer Collection of Russian Children’s Books, which was donated to the UW Libraries’ Department of Special Collections in 2016. 

This 20-minute talk will be the first of three talks presented at the “Textual and Digital Studies Capstone Presentations and End-of-Year Reception". The two additional student presentations will follow (topics TBA).

After which there will be a wine-and-cheese reception. The event overall will last approximately from 2-4 p.m.
